Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

“Platform” means the website www.aistartup.space and its sub-pages. “IBF”, “we”, “our” or “us” means Interactive Bulgaria Foundation, g.k. Iztok, ul. “Nikolay Ostrovski” 5, 1113 Sofia, Bulgaria; e-mail ibfprojectbg@gmail.com; tel. +359 877 366 209. “User” or “you” means any natural person visiting the Platform and/or creating an account.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Notice, which implements Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) gdpr-info.eu and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act cpdp.bg.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to register. Account data you may enter includes name, title, photo, e-mail, phone, addresses and progress records. You promise that all information is accurate and kept up-to-date.

4. Educational Programmes & Certificates

All courses are free. Successful completion automatically generates a digital certificate in your member area. Certificates attest only that you finished the self-paced course and are not formal diplomas or professional licences.

5. Intellectual-Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, all texts, videos, graphics and assessments are © IBF 2023-2025 or licensed to IBF. They are provided under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial learning. Use beyond that requires prior written permission. EU Directive 2019/790 obliges us to respect rightholders and implement a notice-and-takedown for alleged copyright infringement eur-lex.europa.eu.

6. User-Generated Content

You may post forum comments, assignment answers and profile images. You remain the rights-holder but grant IBF a world-wide, royalty-free licence to host and display such content for the Platform’s purposes. Under the EU E-Commerce Directive 2000/31/EC and the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act we will remove illegal content upon constructive notice eur-lex.europa.eumtitc.government.bg.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

7.1 Data we process

  • Identification data (name, e-mail, phone)

  • Educational records (progress, certificates)

  • Optional profile information you share publicly

7.2 Legal bases

Processing is necessary to deliver the service (Art 6 (1)(b) GDPR) and to comply with Erasmus+ grant reporting duties (Art 6 (1)(c) GDPR).

7.3 Your rights

You can access, rectify, export or delete your data. You may also invoke the “right to be forgotten” under GDPR Art 17 gdpr-info.eu. Requests should be sent to privacy@interact.bg.

7.4 Hosting & transfers

Servers are located in the EU; no international transfers occur without appropriate safeguards (Art 46 GDPR).

8. Safety & Platform Rules

Under the EU Digital Services Act we ensure a transparent mechanism for reporting illegal content or breaches of these Terms commission.europa.eu. You agree not to:
a) upload malware or spam;
b) harass other learners;
c) misrepresent your identity or course progress.

9. Consumer Information

Because courses are free, EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU withdrawal rules on paid digital content do not apply, but the Directive’s transparency principles still govern pre-contract information webgate.ec.europa.eu.

10. Third-Party Links

External links (e.g., to AI tools) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for external sites.

11. Funding Acknowledgement

12. Limitation of Liability

The Platform and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We are liable only for intentional misconduct or gross negligence under Bulgarian law and Art 15 of the E-Commerce Directive, and we assume no responsibility for economic loss or loss of data mtitc.government.bg.

13. Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms to comply with legal changes (e.g., amendments to the Bulgarian PDPA dlapiperdataprotection.com) or to improve clarity. Changes become effective upon publication; material amendments will be announced by e-mail.

14. Termination

We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile settings, triggering data erasure in line with GDPR Art 17 obligations gdpr.eu.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Bulgarian law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent Bulgarian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection jurisdiction rules in your country of residence.
